Initially, I was interested in Pilates because I saw that Pilates has many principles included in physics, such as hanging movements that go against gravity. Plus, I have dreamed of having a good-looking body without being too bulky. And turns out, Pilates is the answer. After I started doing Pilates, I realized that there are more benefits from Pilates besides toning the body. Pilates also improves posture and reduces back pain, since my body is quite stiff due to being active in sports such as basketball and badminton. I was surprised to know that my posture was the main cause of my back pain, which sometimes was really intense. That made it mandatory for me to get up on my side so that my back didn't hurt, and even at one point, I couldn’t stand straight just because of my backpain. And so I signed up for Pilates classes. I tried to do Pilates regularly. In just one month, my back pain was totally gone, my posture became so much better, and I don’t bump into things or fall easily anymore. I am astonished by its effects. From the positive changes it had on my body, I fell in love with this sport.

Since I sat a lot and never exercised in between my busy schedule at that time as a worker and student. After feeling Pilates for the first time, my body aches magically disappeared, and I learned a lot about postures and bad habits since turns out it was the reason for my constant shoulder pain!
